One of the first and wildest outfits of the eighties Neorockabilly revolution were definitively the Deltas. It all started back in 1981. The Deltas issued their first long player and also released a classic two track 7´´ single, all on Nervous Records. Record company owner Roy Williams introduced them on their debut player as: "-wilder than the Polecats-crazier than The Meteors" . In fact, the Deltas played some sort of Blues- Rockabilly-Psycho and produced a very unique and special sound from their very beginning.
They originally started as a trio featuring Steve Bongo (v/d), Captain Pat Marvel (g) & Little John (b). Some years later, they were joined by well-known Ex-Polecats Boz Boorer (g) & John Buck (d). The Deltas also gained fame as one of the scene's better live performers and with their appearances on such important Psychobilly compilation albums like "Hell´s Bent On Rockin´ " & "The Magnificent Seven".
