Fireball XL 5

Rockin´ Shoes(1983)

This is the first publication of the UK Neorockabilly quintet, originally released on 7´´ vinyl. It includes four tracks and was produced by Boz Boorer and Ray Frensham. The EP gained big recognition and also appeared on various UK alternate single charts. Tracklist: Rockin´ Shoes-- Searching For My Baby-- Reconsider--Bad Day.

The Man With No Name(1984)

This is the second and last 7´´ vinyl release from Fireball XL 5, also distributed by Northwood Records. This is a splendid and wild blend of Rockabilly and Hillbilly with a dose of some early Psycho, backed by a hard slapped double bass and some frantic screams. The release also topped the UK Independent Chart in winter 1984. Tracklist: The Man With No Name--Prison Walls (Don´t Tell No News).

Go For It! The Complete Works(?)

The nine track longplayer was originally released on 12´´ vinyl by Northwood Records, some time after the band´s official split. It includes the complete tracks from their 7´´ inch releases plus three more tracks. Splendid recordings from one of the most underrated Neorockabilly/ Psychobilly outfits of the early years. Highlights: Rockin´ Shoes, Reconsider, Prison Walls, The Man With No Name and I Won´t See The Sunrise Anymore
